pASTOR 2 MISSIONARIES

Nourishing missionaries so they can flourish on the field

Free support for missionaries and others in ministry.

What we do

By Use of Individual Encouragement, Ministry Coaching and Debriefing, Our Prayer is That You Will Flourish.

If you need to talk to someone, please let us know. A conversation doesn’t necessitate a long-term relationship with the staff of Pastors 2 Missionaries. We are willing to help you however you need, even if that is just a one-time, listening ear.

We like to build long-term relationships with missionaries. It does not matter if you are single or married; we are willing to build relationships with you, listen to where you are in life, and encourage you in your walk with the Lord.

Transition is often a difficult endeavor but often inevitable in ministry. We have found that talking it out is often the first steps to healing. We are here to listen, pray with, encourage, and help work through the questions you may have.

Why We Do It

Our sole purpose is for you to flourish. We will do all we can to help you and your family on and off the mission field.

Build Relationships

We desire for you to be stronger as a family and closer to your local church and community than ever before.

Develop Fruitfulness

Our prayer is that as you are poured into you, you will then be able to pour into others.

Transform Ministries

Whatever the circumstance is, we want to help you get to the best place you can be.

Make Disciples

We will help train and equip you to make disciples.

how we do it

Prayer

It is vital that missionaries know they have a support network of mighty prayer warriors behind them, praying for them, and taking their needs to throne of God.

We want to build relationships with you, listen to where you are in life, and encourage you in your walk with the Lord.  We use The COACH Model For Christian Leaders.

Our doors are always open to missionaries during furlough. We desire our home to be a safe, fun, and ever-present time of spiritual, physical, emotional and mental refreshment.

Through Skype, Zoom, Whats App, or some other platform, we desire to communicate through video once a month at minimum.

We desire to visit in-country for 10-21 days. This allows the privilege & joy of serving alongside the missionaries, living with them* and the opportunity to do life with together.

We believe the local church is ultimately responsible for the missionaries they send out to serve. We desire to partner with the local church to develop a tailored training program.

tIM & HEIDI - MISSIONAIRES

“Jon and Tammie have been very valuable to us as we prepare to leave for the mission field. Jon has been meeting with Tim on a weekly bases to disciple and mentor him, with the specific goal of better preparing him to be a godly missions worker on the field. As a couple, Jon and Tammie have also meet with both of us to offer couples counseling with the same goal. They have walked with us through finding a sending agency and life circumstances. One of the greatest helps that they have been for us is to come out to our home church to train our Barnabas Team, who will be at the core of our on field care team from our sending church. Thanks to the work of Jon and Tammie we are much better prepared for everything the mission field will throw at us.”

BRIAN & LISA - MISSIONAIRES

“Pastor Jon and Tammie have been good friends since 2010. Pastor Jon visited us on the mission field overseas a couple of times. We were always anxious to meet with him when he was in-country; he was an outside voice who could speak without bias into any situation. We valued his opinions and his prayers for us as we served overseas. When we transitioned back to the States, one of our first visits was to the Rissmiller’s. We needed to be near them and have them speak into our lives and ministries again. Their advice over the years has been invaluable. We know they will listen without judgment, will pray before speaking, and have not just advice, but compassion and love towards whatever we’re facing. Pastor Jon’s visits helped sustain us on the field and their advice has been a catalyst in helping us to continue serving the Lord.”

MISSIONAry couple

“Pastor Jon and Tammie came into our lives as our family was just beginning to pick up the broken pieces after our overseas ministry ended abruptly and traumatically. After serving in a closed Asian country for several years, we found ourselves suddenly back in rural Pennsylvania with no way to put our painful experiences into words. Telling victorious, thrilling missionary stories to eager supporters is one thing; coming “home” feeling betrayed and defeated is entirely different. Jon and Tammie acted as our spiritual “first responders,” and were willing to travel to our home just to listen and support us. Their loving, sensitive, and firm Biblically-sound intervention gave us space to begin to process our pain. The Holy Spirit also used their insight to expose areas of sin in our lives that had been overlooked for several years. Jesus is doing an ongoing healing work in our family, and we are extremely grateful that He brought Jon and Tammie to us at just the right time.
